Basement Underpinning/Structural Work & Garage Slab
We worked with New Depths on two projects in our home. Lowering our basement with extensive structural work on our 1900’s home as well as constructing a new slab for our 1.5 car garage. Mark and his team were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They completed the work safely, quickly, and exceeded our expectations. Excellent First Class Underpinners
We cant speak highly enough of Mark and his team. From day 1, we knew we were in good hands. As the neighbours from the previous review, we echo all their sentiments, we would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking for underpinning services. The project was not a straight forward one and brought some new and complex challenges but we always felt that Marks passion and experience was more than capable of completing the work to their excellent high standards. He has a great crew that worked on the house for 3 months and made the whole experience about as stress free as a job of that level can be.

All construction projects have unknowns. The hallmark of a great contractor is communicating clearly when they come up and working with you to come to the best solution that meets your needs. Mark and the New Depths team are the upper tier of great contractors! Throughout our tricky project (120 year old home, previously unknown underground creek, job done in parallel with our adjoined Neighbour, tricky street parking bin access, etc.) we felt cared for and knew that Mark and team always had our best interest top of mind. We would absolutely recommend New Depths to anyone looking to get some more usable space in their home via underpinning!

Basement underpinning
I worked with Mark of New Depths Underpinning to lower the basement floor level, install new drain lines, and rebuild the existing walk-out. He was extremely professional and communicative throughout the whole process, and great at trouble-shooting solutions to any unforeseen site conditions. He went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly and on time. I highly recommend New Depths Underpinning.

Exceeded expectations at every step
Mark was an absolute professional from the very first contact to beyond the end of the job. He provided clear communication at every step of the process and earned our full trust by being clear and transparent. He was very helpful and took the time to explain things to us that also gave us confidence through what is a crazy process of underpinning our house!. Mark never hesitated to do things the right way instead of cutting corners. Finally, the crew working on our property were friendly and respectful. Structural Work in Basement
Mark and his team did some structural work on the joists in our basement so that a post beside the stairs could be removed. He was professional, friendly, efficient and detail-oriented. I can’t say enough about Mark, his team, and how he conducts his business and would not hesitate to hire New Depths again.

Fantastic for underpinning (+ related structural work)
Working with Mark was great. He’s knowledgeable, thoughtful, meticulous, transparent and reliable. He instilled confidence throughout the project. He dealt with issues as they arose reasonably, in consultation with us all along the way. Amazing service
Mark and his team were amazing. There was great communication while the work was being done. His team was always pretty much daily (unless he let me know otherwise), and they got the job done quickly, and with a high standard for quality. We were also planning some other work in the house with a general contractor and Mark and team were able to work super well to coordinate and organize things with him.

Full underpinning, in-floor heating and flush beam installation
We live in a 95 year old home in Bloor West Village. The basement height was 6′ 2″ which meant it wasn’t really usable space. New Depths lowered our basement floor by about 3 feet, installed in-floor heating below the new concrete slab, and installed a flush beam in the ceiling, giving us a beautiful and usable basement space with 8′ 6″ ceiling height. Full underpinning, posts removal and new beam
We just finished a full underpinning with New Depths and we couldn’t be more happy. Over the past few years we’ve done a full gut renovation on our house and have worked with many contractors. It’s very very rare to work with professionals such as Mark, Mikael, Raph and Team that deliver on what they originally proposed. Everything was on-time and on-budget, stress free. Quality of work was very high. Mikael and Team showed up everyday on time and worked hard to meet our timelines. The work site was kept extremely clean, something we and our neighbours really appreciated. To top it all off Mark’s pricing was very competitive.

Must be the best in Toronto
As an engineer, I can appreciate how critical it is to do underpinning safely and with quality! This is not a part of a renovation that you cut corners on. The New Depths team did a fantastic, professional, high quality job on our project. Mark, Michael and the entire team cared about doing the job right, on-time and with quality. They love their craft and have a great culture and it shows. We had a pretty big project 3-months,125 year old house, pretty big footprint, in floor heating and polishing. I was glad when it was finished but I was a bit sad to see the guys go. I really enjoyed getting to know them and work through the project with them. 110% recommend this company!!
